I am wondering if there are any plans to implement a section for members to have their own blog page?
I would be really interested in setting up a consistently updated blog within the RIO site, but as far as I can see there is no way of doing this???
I am aware of the Poker journal section, though it doesn't really fit my needs, as I feel that amongst the long detailed posts I wish to make, comments and discussion will make things very confusing and incredibly hard for myself and any readers to follow.
With a blog format, discussion would still be possible, yet everything would be far more organised and readable.
Ofcourse I could just set up a blog on a third party site and link it here in a poker journal, but the RIO community 'feel' would be lost in my opinion.
any suggestions are welcome :)

I think I get what you're looking for but could you elaborate and be specific about the features that you'd like to have available that the "Poker Journals" section does not currently allow for?
I'll see if we can get something to accommodate this once we have a solid idea of what you're looking for.
If anyone else has suggestions, please post them here.
Thanks for the reply :)
Basically the idea is that, within our member account section, say next to bio, we have a blog tab. Then everytime someone updates their blog with a new entry the community is updated through the thread feed, so that they are aware of new entries and can happily follow along if that makes sense??
A format something like this http://www.leggopoker.com/blogs/sauce123/ . Also including a home page where we can give a brief introduction
to our poker history and the intentions of our blog.
The difference between the poker journal is that each new post is not seperated, and people can comment on a post
made three months ago, but it will be 100 posts below the original entry it applies to, and will likely be ignored or not
fully understood, as a result of it being so hard to backtrack etc.
Thanks again, if i think of anything else i will post here :)
I like this idea a lot RegularBlue - I have a loooong thread where I give updates and people occasionally comment but I feel it would work better as a blog where each entry would be a seperate entity but still contained within the same blog. You wouldn't have to scroll down for so long to get to the newest update and to read a past update you wouldn't have to scroll up and down looking for it.
Yeah i have been meaning to set up my own poker journal page for months, but every time i take a look a look at the section, everyones entries just look so unorganised and i find it so so hard to follow due to the number of comments amongst journal entries. No insult intended! I just personally find it difficult to follow peoples journals because of the format, and every time it puts me off bothering reading, and especially demotivates myself when it comes to creating my own journal.
And i agree with everything you said :)
I'm thinking like the blog section on deucescracked?
I agree the way it is now is not ideal, too much scrolling, new reply above, middle, down.
Just way too unorganized atm imo, def in long journals (which is the goal for a journal, to get huge)
A solution would be to make these journals a paged thread, like on 2p2. That would be my choice of format, were its easy for everybody to reply and easy to give an update. With just old post on page 1, new post on page 10 nice and organized. (and disable the reply fuction so that someone cant just type something new on page 5 when the thread is on page 15 all ready)
