Paul Toda got his start in poker during his first year in college battling it out in online freerolls and in home games with his friends. He was able to eek out some extra walking-around-money in these games which allowed him a fair amount of freedom during these years. He transitioned to law school and planned to follow in the footsteps of his father who was a prosecutor but his unexpected death put his family in a precarious financial position. It's this time that saw Paul dive into the game headfirst playing in every location he could in order to help his family through this difficult period. During his time traveling to play poker he discovered PLO and it was love at first sight.

His lack of theoretical understanding of the game became apparent when he started playing more online. After a year he saw his bankroll dwindling and no real improvements to his development as a player. He decided to rededicate himself to the game and buckled down with coaching, studying, focused sessions, and organizing his life in a way that set him up for success at the tables. His first video offers insight on his poker journey and jumps into a session at $200 PLO.
