I used Screenflow wich worked really well. Eitherway look for option to bring the framerate down while recording, no need to record at 60fps cause at 10fps you dont miss anything, could go as low as 5fps which helps to bring the size down.

what kind of profil are you using when you export the file? also what kind of bitrate? thanks

Why aren't you using the internal Quicktime application for this? Launch it and capture either the whole screen or draw the area you want to capture, then export to a lower bir-rate/file size.
