Improving on "1-A"- Steve Paul A really good introduction to some theory principles. Kind of old material predating solvers but I wanted to include it so that people can interact a bit with a more theory oriented approach in order to have a better idea what the solvers are getting at.

Pio Solver Series (part 1: C-betting Your Whole Range) - Diego Ramirez Great example of how to use a solver to build a strong basic strategy that's relatively easy to execute. The kind of meat and potatoes work any pro should be doing.

Railbirding with Tyler: 50/100 Deep Ante 6m Proview - Tyler Forrester A look at a recent high stakes 6m session with excellent players; broken down clearly by a good theory coach. Shows the sorts of creative plays that the best players are making as part of an overall solid game plan.

Designing an Exploitative Game Plan - Phil Galfond I thought this was an under appreciated Phil vid. It's so trendy right now to be a solver grinder and to have a very quantitative game plan. On the other hand, most of the very best players now and since forever are still handreading and doing a ton of exploiting; Phil is one of the very best at this skill and he does a good job giving an overview of the types of things he's thinking about.

MonkerSolver and $500 Zoom Session - Richard Gryko this is really the first RIO video we've had that effectively uses Monker to look at PLO.

Here's my list of Top 5, no particular order

PIO Quiz: Opening UTG - Mark Lammers
Well structured and well thought out approach to practicing/improving a particular skill.

Advanced Theory Principles - Sean Lefort
Old but good introduction to theory. Solvers do all this work for you but I think understanding the underlying theory is important and easy to ignore in the current climate.

Responding to Various C-Betting Strategies - Ben Sulsky
An in depth look at a difficult topic by sauce, what more could you want?

A Deeper Look Into Blockers - Felipe Boianovsky
A good intro to how blockers should affect your thought process and play.

Puzzles and Mysteries - Daniel Dvoress
Really interesting pair of videos on different ways to think about poker.

Ryan Martin 6 years, 10 months ago

My picks, also in no particular order

How to be a Better Poker Player (Part II) – Sean Lefort
Much of our improvement in poker is focused around our strategy at the tables and that often distracts us from how lucrative it can be to focus time and effort on optimizing things like our game selection, opportunities within and outside of the poker world, our physical/mental health, relationships, etc. Sean offers some great advice for all of these areas and there's bound to be at least one thing in here you can take away and immediately implement into your own daily life.

Responding to Various CBet Strategies – Ben Sulsky
A really insightful video where Sauce solves for and compares the Maximally Exploitative Strategies (MES) for hero versus a variety of different CBet strategies on the same board. Serves as a great illustration of how non-intuitive some MES/exploitative adjustments can be.

The Art of MTTs – James Obst
This video is an absolute treat. James diverts from technical talk to explore the inherent emotional component of MTTs and how we can use this knowledge to our advantage – not just to exploit the effects of these emotional components on our opponents, but also to make ourselves more emotionally resilient when we find ourselves in high pressure situations deep in tournaments.

Unexpected Value: The Death of EV – Phil Galfond
An eye-opening video that discusses the arbitrary nature of having a default decision bar where the most important requirement/consideration for making a play is that it is +EV. Phil goes on to introduce a concept he feels offers a more effective and intuitive replacement for analyzing postflop spots than Expected Value (EV): Pot Share.

2014 Year in Review – Daniel Dvoress
Likely overlooked due to its innocuous title, a great video that touches on things like the importance of talking to players who think about the game differently from you, a common leak that is assuming people play/analyze poker similarly to you and the value of playing a variety of games/formats.

Richard Gryko 6 years, 10 months ago

There is such a wide body of work and I definitely missed a bunch of stuff, but heres what I have (list in no particular order):

Improving on 1-A: Steve Paul - gave me a few cool ideas for my own work.
Unexpected Value, the Death of EV: Phil Galfond - wow, checking has ev too!
Toy Gaming Series, but pt1 especially: Ben Sulsky - to date the only video ive actually made notes from.
The Art of MTTs: James Obst - would prob listen to this guy read the phone book.
Insights from PIO, Block Betting River: Sam Grafton - would not listen to this guy read the phone book :p, but imo he puts out a lot of very solid and (potentially) underrated theory content..

Honorable mentions for overall body of work:
Apotheosis - "this table has a wide range of players, some elite crushers, a couple of solid regs, and then phil hellmuth's there as well"
Sam Greenwood - "I swear some euro guys make up their screennames just to embarrass me when I try to say them"

Nick Johnson 6 years, 10 months ago

Hey guys, so here is my list and these are not in any order. There are others I could have considered, but these ones are very solid.

Responding to Various C-Betting Strategies - Ben Sulsky

I thought Ben did a really good job in this video showing how to solve for max exploit strats vs different cbet strats that players are using these days. Strongly suggest this video for any player that feels like they are struggling with in game adjustments and/or exploitative counters.

Railbirding with Tyler: 50/100 Deep Ante 6-Max Proview - Tyler Forrester

This is a different and very cool video as Tyler does a fantastic job of explaining some of the lines and overall strats of some of the better NL players in the game. One of the more interesting NL videos I have seen in a long time.

PLO Solver Hand Review Featuring Cory Mikesell - Phil Galfond

This video is going to be very useful for any PLO player of any skill level IMO that hasn't already dived deep into solver sims yet. Cory and Phil use MonkerSolver to review HH('s) and show how you can use Monker to understand what is supposed to be close to optimal all while thinking about how to correctly exploit and adjust when your opponents are deviating from optimal themselves.

MonkerSolver and $500 Zoom Session - Richard Gryko

Richard is becoming one of my favorite instructors on the roster. He's very clear with his explanations of why he implements the lines/strats that he does, as well as explaining very clearly why Monker is suggesting it's lines and overall strategy. This video is one of the first as far as implementing Monker itself into a video and it's very clear from watching this video that there are possibly lots of new lines and overall strats that can and should be used in today's PLO games. Recommended for really any PLO player of any skill level, but especially IMO for players that feel like they may be solid and on the cusp of an elite level of skill.

2.50/5 Zoom PLO Featuring Zigmund - Joni Jouhkimainen

Joni's videos interest me because he always seems to have some creative plays in his arsenal and it makes for not only entertaining, but informative videos as well. This particular video is awesome for one simple reason; Joni and the legend Zigmund are reviewing PLO hands. Need I say more?

Juan Copani 6 years, 9 months ago

Hola amigos, here are my picks:

Advanced Theory Principles - Sean Lefort
He introduces concepts that changed 100% how I think about the game at that time.

6max Concepts (7 part series) - Sean Lefort
First time that I seriously started to construct my 6max strategy was inspired by this series of videos.

Toy Gaming (5 part series) - Ben Sulsky
Sauce presents a series of fun games that try to solve many of the typical problems we face at a poker table. One of the best sections of Mathematics of Poker and key concepts if you intend to make a place for yourself in the world of poker.

Improving on "1-A" - Steve Paul
A series of key theoretical concepts that serve to understand a little better the mathematics behind poker.

Unexpected Value: The Death of EV - Phil Galfond
Phil replaces the concept of EV for Potshare, something very uesful that I still work with today.

Daniel Dvoress 6 years, 9 months ago

Hey guys, here are my top 5, in no particular order:

Responding to Various C-Betting Strategies by Ben Sulsky
This was an amazing video that is a must watch for anyone that plays NLHE. It fundamentally changed how I viewed "dry boards" as the opener, and got me thinking really hard about what optimal c-betting strategies and more importantly about how to exploit people with a more "old-school" approach to c-betting.

Railbirding with Tyler: $50/$100 Deep Ante 6-Max ProView by Tyler Forrester
If there was a crash course on what elite NLHE cash players are thinking/doing, this would be it. Super informative and straight up entertaining.

Optimal Bet Sizing Strategies by Tyler Forrester
I picked this video for two reasons. First, at the time that it was released I don't think that was any video that came close to explaining proper betsizing from a theoretical perspective as clearly as this one did. Second, I think it's useful to rewatch videos like during the current mini-era where studying has become so autopiloty - plug stuff into PIO, look at the outputs, and accept them as true without really thinking about why.

Feature Table: Sam Greenwood at the PCA by Sam Greenwood (series)
Very honest and detailed review of a live MTT - I feel like this is a must watch for anyone transitioning from online to live. Sam was really honest and upfront when discussing various specific tells, which I think a lot of pros shy away from when making videos.

History of Heads Up NLHE by Kevin Rabichow (series)
Awesome video for people like me who are not HU experts, but play some HU occasionally either out of necessity or just when dabbling. Both informative and entertaining.

Paul Atwal 6 years, 9 months ago

Blast from the Past - Phil Galfond
An old nosebleed session from 2008 reviewed by Phil. For me, this video had some of the entertainment value of the old PAD games while also managing to be educational.

Range Pivots in NLHE - Daniel Divoress
Daniel covers situations where a card drastically changes the relative strength of two player's ranges. This type of thinking is still extremely useful, and it can be done even more efficiently now with solvers.

2 Table $50/$100 6-Max NLHE - Kevin Rabichow
Kevin always explains spots so well, and it's a treat to watch him make the rare 6-max video.

How to Be a Better Poker Player (Part 1) - Sean Lefort
This is still just as relevant today. Sean covers some intangible mental/lifestyle aspects of being a good pro.

High Stakes Explained: Kanu7 vs OtB_RedBaron $200/$400 NLHE - Ben Sulsky
I'm not sure if this one needs much explanation. An excellent player breaks down a hand between another two great players and explains what each player might be thinking/doing.

Kevin Rabichow 6 years, 8 months ago

Hey all,

Here's a selection of my favourite videos on RIO. I most enjoy watching videos that are somewhat different from what I usually play or speak about, but at the same time the coach is doing a great job with high level analysis. I think this is the case for these five videos. Hope you enjoy!

Leading Flops - Daniel Dvoress

WCOOP Main Event featuring PlayinWasted - Fedor Holz

30 Second Exercise - Nick Howard

4 Table $25/$50 6-Max NLHE (Part 1) - Ben Sulsky

Railbirding with Tyler: $50/$100 Deep Ante 6-Max ProView - Tyler Forrester

Nuno Alvarez 6 years, 8 months ago

Hey guys,

Here are my picks for top 5 videos in no particular order:

$50/$100 HUNL vs LLinusLLove - Ben Sulsky

This is just an awesome video in all aspects. I personally loved to see two of the very best HU players going at it against each other.

$10/$20 HU NLHE vs frabbxd - Ben Sulsky

Another great HU video by Sauce. I really enjoyed how he explains different aspects of GTO play in every hand he plays.

How to Study and Improve: Study Habits, Hand Review, and PIO - Paul Atwal

This is a really good video to learn how to use PIOsolver properly and how to be a more organized poker player when it comes to study.

Railbirding with Tyler: $50/$100 Deep Ante 6-Max ProView - Tyler Forrester

Loved how Tyler explained every hand here from his point of view and found this video very useful because of that.

High Stakes Explained: Kanu7 vs OtB_RedBaron $200/$400 NLHE - Ben Sulsky

This is actually the first RIO video I've ever watched and a big part of the reason I bought my first elite subscription. I was so pumped to hear such a deep analysis from a great player on one of the coolest hands in the history of online poker.

Christopher George 6 years, 8 months ago

Hey Guys -
I've been a subscriber to RIO before I was a coach. There have been a lot of great videos that molded the beginning stages of my poker strategy. Most of the videos I enjoy teach you how to learn rather than giving you the answers in the back of the book. So often times I'll love watching those types of videos. Here's a few of them:

Pio Solver Series (Part 1: C-betting Your Whole Range) - Diego Ramirez

2 Table $2.5/$5 6-max Zoom NLHE Live Session - Ben Sulsky

Betsizing (part 2) - Steve Paul

A Theoretical Look at Playing 3bet pots OOP - Daniel Dvoress

Adjusting to Your Opponents (part 1) - Leszek Badurowicz

Krzysztof Slaski 6 years, 7 months ago

Hey guys, this is my top 5

Toy Gaming (part 1) - Ben Sulsky - Great representation of some game theory principles for those having a hard time with mathematics of poker.

History of Heads Up NLHE (part 1) - Kevin Rabichow - Good HU content is pretty difficult to find in general these days and this is a very interesting series by a guy who's been in the trenches.

Improving on "1-A" - Steve Paul - Again just very good breakdown and explanation of some theory concepts. Pretty absurd that this is essential content - RIO just giving away good strategy ; - )

Thinking Clearly: Poker Biases - Sean Lefort - Some very insightful guidance from another player who's "been there" and done it for a long time.

High Stakes Explained: Kanu7 vs OtB_RedBaron $200/$400 NLHE - Ben Sulsky - High stakes legend breaks down a high stakes hand - Christmas came early.

James Hudson 6 years, 6 months ago

Hey, so for my top 5 videos I figured that we’d had enough Phil Galfond and Sauce videos so I omitted them from my top 5. Everything you do is great guys but you won’t be in my top 5.

Sunday Million & FTOPS Main Event - Espen Sørlie

  • This is a really cool series where Espen chops the Sunday Million and the FTOPS main event at the same time and recorded most of it. The series includes guest commentary from RIO coaches Sam Grafton, Jono Crute, Nick Rampone and Phil Galfond and also Tonka from Twitch. I’m also friends with Espen and this day and the post-win celebration were A+ moments.

PROvsPRO Elite Invitational - RIO Elite

  • This is another really cool series where 10 of our best MTT coaches at the time faced off in a STT. Getting to hear all of them share their thoughts throughout hands, even when they weren’t involved, was really cool and it’s a treat to get to hear that many different smart opinions all in one video.

Jason Koon: From The Heart - Jason Koon

  • Jason’s most recent video that a lot of you have likely already watched. I tend to like videos that are outside of the norm and this one discusses a lot of the factors you need to think about off the table to make poker your profession. The comments section might be as good as the video content too which is always nice.

2 Table $5/$10 NLHE Zoom & Equity Realization - Tyler Forrester

  • This is a video that I ended up coming back to over and over again when I was playing a ton. It’s always interesting to hear Tyler’s thoughts on theory but this was especially interesting to me at the time because I was really into trying to figure out how to get “R” nailed down and apply it to a number of spots. It was also based off of a video suggestion that I had made :)

$5/$10 6M/HU NLHE Session Review - Teunuss

  • This is Teunuss’s first video. I couldn’t really pick between his videos so this one isn’t necessarily better than any of his others but I always find watching his videos relaxing and confidence building in the same way as watching a Sauce video. Both of them just make the game seem easy and like there’s never any need to panic.
Eldora 6 years, 5 months ago

Hey! Tbh I'm a bit nervous posting here and have my list sit next to all of the top-notch RIO Pros, but I'm honored and hope that my list can point you to some great videos as well :)

PROvsPRO Elite Invitational - RIO Elite
For me there's no way around this being my #1. Come on who of you haven't thought of RIO Pros battling each other for a competition after absorbing all of their individual poker action and analysis. I very much hope we can turn this concept into a similar face-off in the future.

Introduction + All-Stars $10/$20 Hand Analysis - Elías Gutierrez
Once starting to put down this list I knew right away that Elías will be in there. So I'll put him right here as my #2. It's not a secret that Elías has added lots of further creative energy and entertaining charisma to the site ... that's besides his deep breakdowns and shorthanded live play sessions of high stakes poker in 2018. It wasn't an easy choice to decide for one of his videos since they all carry these traits but my great first experience just made me pick his Run It Once debut video. It's a must watch to get to know him a bit better in case you missed it back then.

500NL Zoom Session Review (1 of 2) - Phil Galfond
Phil's videos (before Run It Once was born) got me in touch with a higher level of thinking through hands and I still remember being stunned and launching video after video. Until today Phil's content reminds me of this exciting experience and doubtlessly needs a spot in this list. He really should be #0 (in the positive way) but I rank him #3 here. I found this ancient video of Phil battling NL500 Zoom which not only takes me way back but I think is golden for all of you watching the RIO NL zoom content regularly. Will you be able to copy his lines in 2018? I guess not - but it's just exciting to see how Phil breaks down the hands with his one of a kind style.

Coach Clash: Paul Atwal vs Nuno Alvarez - Paul Atwal, Nuno Alvarez duh ;)
Climbing on my #4 for similar reasons as the PROvsPRO SNG I urge you to check out this video. You can follow NLHE 6 Max grinder Paul Atwal challenging heads up pro Nuno Alvarez to a heads up battle. While not being my main interest I enjoy watching heads-up content a lot due to the sick accuracy of analysis you can experience there. But this outstanding dynamic between Nuno and Paul made it one of the heads-up videos where I felt like I took away so much new knowledge. IMO it's especially valuable for 6-max players since Paul brings this perspective to the HU study table while Nuno peaks with his profound knowledge.

Debunking the "Top of My Range" Heuristic: Toy Games - Francesco Lacriola
Francesco Lacriola has brought a very unique style of NLHE videos to the site and I'd like to have his explorations of the utility and limitations of the "Top of My Range" Heuristic as my #5. He explains how players often take the easy way and only think about where they stand in their range composition when facing a tough decision. After watching this video you will understand the limitations and when this way of thinking is not enough (but also when it's still a great heuristic). Make sure to check out his follow-up with practical hand applications as well.

(I know too long :P)

Iteopepe88 6 years, 4 months ago

Here are my top 5 videos:

EPT Barcelona: Putting Together Exploits and Theory - Daniel Dvoress

I love all of Daniel's video. He explains very well. It was hard to pick a single video from him, because most of his are true gold if you are focusing on NLHE MTT. I recommend this/his videos mostly for intermediate players. If you are a beginner this will be slightly too much, but if you would like to put your MTT game to the next level i think one of the best coaches is Daniel.

2-7 Triple Draw Hand Review: Bluff Raising River - Zachary Freeman

Zach only explains one hand in this video but he does it very in-depth. He breaks down all the small nuances in 2-7 triple draw, explains what to do in certain spots, how to change your strategy if somebody deviates from GTO.

Finding the Edge in Stats (part 1) - Leszek Badurowicz

I really liked Leszek's finding the edge in stats series and this helped me to create my HUD for PLO game. He explains how to exploit certain tendencies and i recommend his videos for the small-midstakes PLO player. You can still learn a lot from him if you player at higher stake (like 5/10$-10/20$ or higher), but then maybe you will learn/adapt more from Phil Galfond/Richard Gryko.

$100/$200 LHE Session Review - RunLikePanda

As a mix game i play LHE regularly at the online 8game tables. I picked this video from RunLikePanda randomly, because i couldnt choose from him. I learned a lot about LHE from him and if you would like to focus on limit holdem i think he is one of the best pick.

$5k 6-Max PLO MTT (part 1) - Richard Gryko

I watched some of Richard's PLO video just before the WSOP and it just made me wanted to play only PLO MTT's (despite i am mix game player). He also introduced me to a PLO solver with this video. Despite his videos are really high level, even if you are just a beginner i think you can learn a lot from him. His videos are the best choice for PLO MTT.

Mikey Stotz 6 years, 3 months ago

Like James Hudson and Eldora before me, I am in a unique position having seen a huge number of the videos on our site. Additionally, I have played only PLO for the last few years so from the standpoint of trying to get better at my main game you can't beat our entire PLO roster, old and new alike. For my choices I went all over the map:

Folding Ranges and Deck Analysis - Stelios Serefidis
I always love videos that explore new or rarely discussed topics and this certainly falls into that category. While much of the information is intuitive, it was cool to see how Stelios presented it and led me down some new wormholes with regard to NL in general.

Defending the BB in PLO - Janne Juutilainen
There is nothing quite like seeing the stats of the top 5 players in a game and the bottom 5 and seeing where the correlation in the top players is and the correlation in the bottom players. You don't have to be the genius figuring out why they're doing it, just copy what the great players do and you'll be alright!

Rake Simulation and Live Play - Tyler Forrester
Similar to the Stelios video, this led me down the path of thinking about rake effects in ways that hadn't occurred to me. I just find the way Tyler speaks about the game to be nuanced and informative with no hint of ego. He's simply telling you hands that do and don't show a profit in the different rake environments based on his millions upon millions of trials.

Puzzles and Mysteries - Daniel Dvoress
For someone that hasn't played more than a couple hundred hands of NL in the last ~7 years I sure have a lot of NL specialists on the list! Again, just an example of a high level thinker at work. In Sauce's recent video where he breaks down his approach to Fusion poker I mentioned how it reminded me of playing Catan with Phil when we both first learned to play. It was just intriguing to see the approach of these geniuses and this video gives me the same feeling.

Applications of Psychology: Heuristics and Biases - Keiran Harris
Sort of a lifetime achievement award with this pick as Keiran's entire catalogue is filled with must watch videos. Nothing in particular about this video makes it any better than the others in the series so don't watch this and call it a day. Make sure you consume the whole series as it's just full of great information. Watches more like a discovery/science channel video than a poker video sometimes!

Brian Hastings 6 years, 3 months ago

MonkerSolver and $500 Zoom Session - Richard Gryko I've really been enjoying Richard's videos recently. I believe this one was his first video and I thought it was an excellent balance of live play and solver work to keep the viewer's attention.

$5,000 High Roller: From $50k -> $63k -> $36k to $50k - Apotheosis Big fan of Chris's videos for MTT play. I recall this particular video having a lot of interesting spots and analysis. I enjoy his video series in general.

Poker After Dark PLO Cash Game - Phil Galfond This is for all the PAD PLO videos Phil put out. I enjoyed the format of rolling the raw TV footage with timely pausing and analysis, plus a great group of players to analyze with all holecards exposed (Ike, Jungle, etc)

2 Table $2.5/$5 6-Max Zoom NLHE (part 3) - Ben Sulsky Didn't have any individual video in mind here, but always a fan of Ben's live play videos. Seems like there's always a new strategy or wrinkle he's implementing in his game. The Toy Gaming series was great also.

Hand Review Using Piosolver - Daniel Dvoress This video was released in 2016, long before I personally purchased Pio and when it was still pretty new to me. Enjoyed the detailed hand analysis using Pio and helping to introduce me to the power of it.

Ola Amundsgård 6 years, 2 months ago

Hello boys and girls, Oddsen here. Here are my top 5 Run It Once video of ALL TIME

$2.5/$5 Zoom NLHE + High Stakes PLO & 8-Game - Ben Sulsky - Why? Beacause Sauce plays 1 hand of PLO

Unexpected Value: The Death of EV - Phil Galfond - Love me some Phil Galfond

Thinking Out Loud: Episode 2 - Unexpected Value - Phil Galfond - 2 scoops please

2 Table $50/$100 HU NLHE vs ChaoRen160 - Kevin Rabichow - Don't even play HUNL but this is great stuff

Live Adjustment: 500NL Heads-Up Zoom - Kevin Rabichow - same goes for this one!

badams2525 6 years, 2 months ago

Hi All,

I love Runitonce. It's a great opportunity to learn from truly the best minds in poker.

I don't play online anymore, but I play high stakes live games and tournaments, and I've
closely followed advancements in poker theory.

Here are my five favorite videos on RIO:

Staking - Ben Sulsky - Ben, as usual, has some truly innovative thoughts in solving a tricky principal-agent problem, that between the staker and stakee.

PLO Theory: Flop Equity Hand vs. Range - Tom Chambers - Tom Chambers has quietly been in a true force in the advancement of PLO understanding. His work is an absolute must for anyone who is serious about the game.

Poker After Dark PLO Cash Game Day 2 - Phil Galfond - Commentary from the best on a super, super entertaining live PLO game.

Two Exploitative Frameworks: Theory and Live Play - Ben Sulsky - A master talks about when it can be correct to make intelligent deviations from GTO play.

The Art of MTTs - James Obst - It does sometimes seem like cash game knowledge is far more advanced than MTT knowledge at the moment. Advance your MTT knowledge here with a quick overview video from one of the best tournament players.

Leo Nordin 6 years, 2 months ago

Hey guys -

ProView: Phil Galfond Reviews Leo Nordin, $5/$10 HU PLO Deep w/ Antes - Very fun to have Phil Watch over my game here back in the days

4 Tables $10/$20 and $25/$50 6-Max Deep Ante PLO - Ola Amundsgård - Oddsens first vid, very educating when it first came out and prob still is for Deep play

ICM Modeling Effects in Poker Tournaments - Ben Sulsky - For someone who dont play alot of tournaments but still punt during wcoop/scoop and some wsop events this rly helped me understand what goes on during a mtt bubble and how to structure my game

OFC Pineapple Cash Game Live Session - Jen Shahade - Jens first OFC video, ofc is rly hard to find any way to improve in i feel like, good players wont talk about what and what no to do in this game so her videos rly helped me improve

$3/$6 PLO Session Review (part 1) - Leo Nordin - 9 TBLs of 3/6 Deep ante in super aggressiv lineups, how can anyone not like this? Gr8 video series just for the action, here, more 3b/4b potts during these 3 hours then on Stars during 2019 so far

Eldora 6 years, 2 months ago

I was rooting for this to happen each week...Finally the first coach picking one of his own videos ;) And it's true the action is sick

Farah Galfond 6 years, 1 month ago

Hey girls, it's Farah Galfond for RunItOnce.com and here are my top SIX vid picks.

How I Exploit You (Part 1: Raising Flops) - Phil
Phil turned me into a winning NL player so I love when he does any teaching on the game. I remember this video from a while back and having an epiphany that well...I wasn't raising enough flops!

$5/$10 6-Max PLO Live Session (Part 1) - Phil
I very rarely, as in pretty much never play PLO but webcam Phil might be favorite Phil. Should I just make all my choices be Phil?! <3

Math Class: Getting Faster at SPR and Bet Sizing - Jen Shahade
No, I better add in some girl power. Jen is so smart, it's intimidating. What an honor to have her brilliant mind on good ol' Run It Once.

Shitty Situations On The River - All-Stars $10/$20 Hand Analysis - Elías Gutierrez
After lurking in the shadows for year, Elias inspired my first ever comment on RIO after watching this. Refreshing and hilarious, he makes learning F-U-N!

Insights from PIO #3: Check-Raising in three-bet pots - Sam Grafton
I think I've been watching Squid Vids the longest. He's opened my eyes to many different things over the years so it was hard to choose one, so I did eenie meenie miney mo, and this is what I landed on!

How Stack Depth Affects Checkraise Frequency - Apotheosis
How awesome to witness Chris move up the stakes and become an absolute killaaa. I always thoroughly enjoy the way Chris explains everything. Voice, tone, & personality are key for me and this particular vid I recall gaining a lot from. I would go into details but I'm no Sauce.

Love you all, thanks for reading, watching, and most of all, subscribing to Run It Once!
