PLEASE can we abolish phrases like>>> X player is playing a GTO style. Y player is playing exploitatively. It Just makes way more sense to say X player is playing with defensive strat, Y player is playing with an attacking strat. Using terms like gto style and exlo style just mislead people and make understanding poker harder ( which might be a good thing :). )

No player is playing GTO and EVERY player is deviating on either side of GTO in EVERY decision, in a sense that you have more bluffs in your range or more value bets and whether to call more or fold more . If your defensive then you base your strategy around defending your ranges and allowing your opponent to make mistakes accordingly. If you're attacking or 'explo' you're still playing a GTO style. You calculate how to exploit your opponents IMBALANCES and the only way you can know how to exploit your opponents imbalances is if you can fathom where the threshold of indifference lies or BALANCE.

Both GTO and explo players are playing a game that revolves around game theory whether they like it or not. Just because defensive players may be more aware of the math behind what they're doing doesn't make their strategy more of a gto based strat than that of an attacking player; although it will be theoretically closer to gto, thats a given . Attacking players are still calculating gto lines in there head, whether they're aware that or not is indifferent. SO BOTH PLAYERS USE GTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
