The player pool in NJ is not very big :( But it will be nice to have PokerStars back and hopefully lobbying to expand into other states to share player pools. I pray all recreational players will want to jump on in the early stages and gamble, like me lol!

Do you think this will mean larger softer pools at all levels? Eventually when it opens up to more states will the US players be largely new to the game or grinders that have been playing on the limited US existing sites?

In my opinion, take it with a grain of salt, once states start allowing online poker and its easily accessible then the player pools will start to soften. But who knows how many years that will take... I imagine the grinders will have a huge advantage at that point.

Governments around the world are hobbling online poker, and even where they allow it, there are so many restrictions, fences. rules, etc. that it is basically like trying to roll a five-sided wheel around.

As an American, I loved the old days of online poker, but by the time anything comes back, even if we get anything, it can't resemble anything like it once was. There is literally no news about online poker now that would make me excited.

Meanwhile, live poker seems to be doing ok, and is still a soft and entertaining game. I'd like to see this site focus a bit more on live poker.
