Playing on a joint bankroll
This may sound like a dumb question, but say you need a 20k bankroll to play a stake. Can 3 people play on the same roll at the same stake? Or would you need a 60k roll for 3 people. This assumes we can communicate during the sessions if everyone's going on a downswing

Playing with a shared roll would not increase risk of ruin, mathematically speaking. You would run into liquidity issues if you kept adding players i.e. not enough buyins to cover all the tables in play.
Makes sense, thanks heaps
well in theory playing on shared roll might not increase ROR but in practice I would argue it will increase ROR, and risk to happiness.
I've seen great friendships destroyed through such foolishness. Tread very carefully and I would not recommend mixing money with friends ever. Poker might be worse than business.
