NL10 to NL600 6max
Hi.
I started playing poker in college roughly 9 years ago and have been a recreational, loosing player ever since. I enjoy the game (as much as you can enjoy constantly loosing) but often find myself second-screening (watching a game or a movie at the same time), tilting, not sticking to bankroll management, randomly applying plays I have seen in tutorials in spots where I should probably not make a move etc. - so I guess it does not come as that big a surprise that over the time I have been using Pokertracker I am stuck 1.8k over roughly 170k hands (-6.36BB).
Today, I decided to change I guess. I have a full-time job, but would like to take poker more seriously in my spare time and ideally make a living by playing poker in the not so distant future. In order to reduce the mistakes/leaks mentioned above and improve my skills, I opted to start this thread to keep my game on track, but most importantly discuss interesting hands with you guys and hopefully profit from your knowledge.
Made my last deposit on Pokerstars today so my current bankroll is at $250. I would like to apply a 15 Buy-in Bankroll Management, so moving up to the higher level as soon as I have 15 Buy-ins on that level and moving back down from that higher level in case I fall below 10 Buy-ins at that higher level. Getting started now at NL10, hoping to move up to NL25 as soon as I have $375 to my name. I put NL600 as the "end of my journey" because those are the stakes where I feel I could start making a decent living playing poker - first goal is to stop losing though :)
Looking forward to my "first" session now and discussing with you guys soon.
