New Video Player
We made some long awaited upgrades to our video player this morning. We've fixed a number of the issues that many of you had posted about in the forums and emailed to the support@runitonce.com email address. Without getting too geeky, below is a list of most of the things that the new video player improved on.
- Users may now pause a video indefinitely and return to that spot without the video crashing.
- Seeking to specific times while watching a video is much more accurate. Previously there was a range you would land on and now it is much more dialed to the nearest second.
- Our buffer can now determine how long it needs based on your internet connection. Many users posted/emailed about the video watching experience being choppy. Hopefully this should eliminate that and make for a better experience.
There are a few more minor changes that we made and we still plan on implementing a few other things to make the experience better. If you have any questions or suggestions, fell free to post them in this thread or email me at support@runitonce.com.
Thanks!
Mikey

This problem was the result of our attempted fix on the video player to make our videos compatible with ipads/iphones. It caused the videos not to work on all of the other devices. We have corrected this. If you're still experiencing problems, email support@runitonce.com and we'll get it taken care of. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Btw. The 3 sec intro of rio does work...
I often like to pause the video to think about what i would have done, and have better time to look at stack sizes and so on. But when i pause the video, the whole screen becomes somewhat darkish, wich makes it harder to see it.
Just wanted to let you know it is working for some.
I really dig the recent change of brightness level while the video is paused, good work!
this...awkward for taking notes etc
Jamie - can you email support@runitonce.com with a description of the issues you are having? It is difficult to troubleshoot individual problems in the forums. If it is a problem that many people are experiencing, I will post the solution to the problem after we solve it through our email correspondence.
