New And Need Some Advice

Hey All,
I just recently signed up due to me having a interest in poker, I know the basics of poker and how the game works but I want to start studying to take my game to the next level and some of the videos I watch on here don't make so much sense to me, so I was wondering do any of you have any advice where to start.

Thank you for reading.

What games/stakes are you playing at the moment?
On 1-10 (10 being most advanced) where do you say you rank in poker skill?

I play No limit Hold'em, buying is $4 and the stakes are $0.02/$0.05 I play at this level because my skills are not the best and I haven't got a huge bankroll. I know what hand beats what etc and how the mechanics of the game works so 2 to 3.

Do you recommend using any software I can use to improve my game, I currently have a mac so some programmes I can't run, I have read some stuff about PT4, is that any good?

.2/.5 Is what I have been playing at even though I am going to stay away from cash games because I feel the need to chase my losses. Just try and bet for value and slowly build up your bankroll. I am starting a regiment where I make myself study 2 hours for every hour that I play. If you ever wanna go over any hand histories or study pm me.

A few video recommendations:
Cameron Couch - his latest videos review footage submitted by members at the micro stakes. I know that these stakes provide a number of unique situations, including the effect of the rake and it's almost as important to have a thorough understanding of that as it is to have a skill advantage.
Sean Lefort - he discusses the above mentioned effects of the rake in this video

As for software, I don't think you can go wrong with PT4 or HM2 as a start. When you want to get more advanced, CREV seems like a great tool to analyze your play, though that is likely too advanced at the moment.

Keep us posted on your progression.
