Need advice on future/downswing
I've been playing since about 2007, was a fish up until around 2010 where I slowly started my de-fishing process. In 2011 I did alright (~3bb/100 over 250k hands) grinding mostly 6-max 10nl and 25nl on a mix of sites (primarily pokerstars) and even took a shot at 50nl which went well at first, but thanks to running 8 BIs below EV over 1k hands at the GBP tables I had to move down, and this is when it started.
Since then (ca. september 2012), I have not been able to catch a break nomatter which site or what stake i play. My bankroll was at $1500 when I took the shot at 50nl, and just before I started writing this I was looking at a $150 cashier. Obviously I have had winning sessions, but most were cancelled out the very next day by an even bigger loss.
So I'm at a crossroad, I have to admit I have even considered just throwing in the towel (Seriously, even 5nl zoom has people 3bet stealing light, defending BB and SB vs steals, bluffing and re-bluffing postflop on all sorts of boards). The games are tough these days! However, as I like playing poker and don't feel like throwing away all the time and effort I have put into it, I'm looking for suggestions as to what i should do. I guess the obvious answer would be "move down and keep grinding and working on your game" which I am and will, but that's not quite the answer I'm looking for.
To be honest, I have toyed around with PLO a few times, and I don't completely suck at it. But it would be almost like starting over. So any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

TL:DR = Downswing for half a year, need fresh ideas what to do as my BR is almost completely gone.
