My Journey
Hello, figured now is a better time than any, as I am off for summer break. A little bit about myself: I was born in Alaska and went to high school in Egypt. Now I currently go to Virginia Tech and should be graduating this coming May! I have been trying to keep a steady pace in poker while trying to graduate and keep a social life, but sometimes the balance is very tough.
I got my real start in poker in freshman year of university where I stumbled upon a 100NL live cash game in a shady area near my school. It was a blast, first hand I sat down I flopped a boat and ended up +200 in the matter of an hour. From what I remember of that experience was that I was terrible. I picked up playing on carbon and deposited small amounts 50-100$...and began to crush the live games. But I found myself absolutely getting killed online. I had no bank roll management and soon found myself down a few thousand dollars. It was not all horrible as that was most of my profit from the live cash games, but I found myself in a funk and dedicted to patient, roll building.
Since the collapse of Carbon's tournament guarantees, I decided to move to Bovada and sell off pieces of myself. I have done relatively well but it is hard to get a fluid grind on with school work and what not. Currently I am back in Alaska, interning for the whole summer, and finding it hard to play any tournaments whatsoever..so I am mainly sticking to cash when I can. I decided to get back into RIO so I could study, since I don't have the hours to play (4 hour difference from eastern).
I will try to update this every so often with beats, brags, and other things going on in my life.
I will start trying to stream some tournament play on TwitchTv @ http://www.twitch.tv/adamhendrix
