My farewell
Hey guys,
You probably noticed I haven't been producing new content for RiO for quite some time now. It's been about a year since I decided to leave (as a pro), and I realized I hadn't made any posts to show my gratitude and for a proper farewell.
The reason I decided to stop making videos here was mainly because as I was playing higher and in smaller fields, I began to feel like making videos might be hurting my win rate too much, and it came to a point where, during my studying time, when I found out something new, the first thing I thought about was that I couldn't share it here, and I didn't wanna keep making videos while withholding information, as it wouldn't be fair to you guys.
For that reason, even though I loved doing it, and loved the site and to be a part of it, I decided I should stop.
A friend of mine was starting a brazilian training site, very inspired by RiO, and invited me to join, which ended up being great for me, as I could continue to do something I love, but without hurting my profitability in game, given the videos are in portuguese and almost none of my opponents speak it, and therefore won't watch it.
I want to thank all the staff, specially Dan who gave me the opportunity to join and discover a new talent I didn't know I had and a new thing I didn't know I loved doing so much. I was always treated incredibly well here, and although I haven't got much experience elsewhere, this has to be one of the better companies to be a part of as an employee. Thank you for making it so.
I also want to thank everyone who gave me positive feedbacks on my videos. It felt really good to know I was really helping you guys, and to know the work I was putting on was appreciated. Thanks very much guys!!
I'd like to thank Phil as well for building this amazing community and doing something a lot of people, myself included, once thought could never happen: bringing high level strategy discussions back to life. Thank you Phil, you continue to be an inspiration to us all.
I owe a lot to Run It Once, as a player, as a student, and as a coach. I will continue to be a part of the community.
Thanks everyone.
