My poker Journey.....(April Update)

I am a 20 year old poker player from the Bay Area California. My dream is to make enough money from poker so that I can move out from my parents house and support myself while continuing to climb the stakes. I realize that this goal is difficult, and may be harder than ever especially living in America post Black Friday. I refuse to use that as an excuse. I have been regularly getting checks from Bovada poker which runs up to 10 20. That means in order for me to "outgrow" the limited poker sites that there are I would have to have a bankroll of over 80,000 (with my 40 buyin bankroll structure). I have around 3,000 right now in my bankroll and I play 50NL on bovada. I grinded sit n gos until I hit 2k and then made the move to cash, and I love it.

Everyday I am learning how little I actually know about the game. I consider my instincts to be one of the main reasons I am even winning at poker. I generally seem to be right at any point in the hand when i ask myself "Does this guy actually have the hand he is representing?". In the past I have taken all of the information out there and tried to apply it to my microstakes grinding without fully understanding concepts. Now I am making a huge effort in asking myself why this concept works and why I should be applying it, if in fact it even applys to my stakes which I have found a lot of the 3betting light and concepts like this to not exactly fit with my strategy in a given 6-max 50NL cash game. I have now reached my most profitable game, and it is simply because I am thinking more, questioning more, and learning more from those before me. This point will be demolished by tomorrow as I learn more every single night when i read countless posts about poker on the internet and review my sessions.

I guess what I am trying to say is watch out poker world by the time I am 21 I will be in the live tournament poker circuit, and hope to be crushing cash games. I have no doubt in my mind that i can accomplish this as I have so many positives going for me. I wont let the U.S government stop my dream. Last little piece of my bio and then I will stop ranting. My parents are allowing me to play fulltime as I have shown them my graphs and they see I am making more than a minimum wage job, and they see that I am clearly happy and motivated by poker. They are giving me the opportunity to play fulltime from home as long as I keep cutting hair, because I am a barber as well, so I do have a backup plan and a second income. Well I am going to keep updating this post from time to time to let you guys know how I am doing!
