Hey guys and gals...  I just wanted to post an update of my May results and kind of explain where I'm at as of right now. I'm also pretty excited to say, I'll see you guys and gals in Vegas!!!  Obviously my first trip to the WSOP or even Vegas for that matter.  I really am anxious to meet some of the RIO gang and put some faces to some of the names on here.  Plus just the WSOP experience will be amazing to see.  

So, starting May I was playing 50NL with around 20BI.  I studied very hard and it paid off by running my BR up to around 3k!!!  I then played horrible for about 1 week and lost all my winning and then some.  Probably some over confidence or just wanting to move up to 100NL to soon.  I then buckled down and focused on patience and ran it back up to around 2.5k..  Happy days right!!!  NO!!!  I ran REALLY bad the following week and ran about 10BI below EV.  This was a little rough but I never jumped stakes or went off like I would have in the past.  It was actually a very good learning experience for me.  I learned more about myself and my game that I would have ever learned from an equal upswing.  I think this was probably one of the biggest learning experiences of my young poker career.  I studied my game hard and plugged some HUGE leaks that really helped my overall game.  I was playing way to loose preflop that was causing me to make some epic mistakes post flop.  I was noticing I was getting flush over flush a little to often and then realized it was bc all my flushes were like 6-9 high.  My coach and I worked very hard on these issues and some bet sizing questions I had for a few days and I came back feeling much more confident in my game.

Then I had a very good friend who was watching my progress and how hard I had been working with my coach came to me with an offer around a week and a half ago...  He offered to stake me at 200NL for 2k and we would split the profits 60/40..  40% for me BTW..  I wouldnt have any makeup or anything like that.  It was just a shot.  He's a businessman who has money and just gave me a shot and I am very grateful for that.  Things went amazing and we moved up to 400NL after winning about 10BI at 200NL. Ran well and actually felt I played pretty well but after reviewing some of my hands I do still have a bunch of work to do.  I could see a difference in my decisions I was facing after fixing some of my preflop leaks I had and they were much easier it seemed.  That could have just been the spots I ran into but I feel it came a bunch from the work I had done on my preflop play.   I have some questions on some spots Im going to post in the NLHE thread here soon.  To make a long story short I ran that 2k up to 12k in about 1 week!!!  My split ended up being around $4,500.  This now gives me a pretty hefty BR to come to Vegas with and I have over 50BI at 100NL now to start my grind back where I wanted to be in the first place on Bovada.  Pretty exciting stuff for me and what better timing.  Thanks to this friend of mine and thank you poker gods!!!

I will post some graphs but they are jacked up bc I missed some hands and got some of my roommates somehow.  So take it with a grain of salt.

That's May...  I don't have the hands for the last few days yet that I ran pretty EPIC yet.  I will say my bet sizing leaks being fixed is really putting me in much better spots with my decision making. I think this also made a huge impact on my winnings.

Im sure I will get crushed bc of my passed BR management issues but I want people to know I was staked and didnt have my BR in play EVER..  It's my BR now though and I am going to be playing 100NL and grinding till I get 40BI at 200NL before I try my hand at moving up.

I will be in Vegas from June 27th through July 3rd.  I do plan on coming by the RIO room to hang out some and meet up with some of the guys.  Happy hunting and see you in Vegas..
