So it finally happened. I learned what a real downswing feels like in poker. I don't have a poker tracker that calculates all-in EV, but I know I had to be at least 800$ below EV. The first 15 days of the month were bad. I was committed to playing 2k hands a day, and I felt focused throughout. The cards were just not falling right. I lost aces pre flop all-in 11 consecutive times. It was amazing. Every 90% 10% I was loosing. On the 15th day, every thing changed, my hands were holding up. My flushes weren't getting one outed by straight flushes. My boats were not loosing to bigger ones. My all ins with aces v.s kings pre would win. I went on a 15 day furry where I won it all back and more.
It always feels nice when it happens that way around. Losing first, then winning it all back. I played 64,650 hands this month, the most I have ever played. Although I was only a small winner, I am extremely proud of how I handled the downswing, and kept my cool and overcame it. I am headed into June at my bankroll peak! I am ready for a big summer!
