$100+$20 poker tournaments at casinos are not profitable in the long run for the players. It's really $95(prize pool)+$25(casino). 21% of the buy-in money is taken from the prize pool. Since you paid $120 to play, but only $95 is part of the prize pool, you have to win $25 to get back to even. So, you need a 26% return to win $0. And so does everyone else in the tournament.
