Live Game Rakes

I'm a low-stakes recreational player. Most of my live experience has been in Atlantic City, where the rake at $1/$2 NL is 10% with a $4 cap, plus $1 for the bad-beat jackpot ($2 at Harrah's) and $1 to tip the dealer. This means that every pot >$50 is effectively raked $6 or 3 bbs. This is more than double the rake of most online sites (PokerStars rakes $1/$2 at 4.5% up to $2.80). I have three questions:

1. What would be considered a good winrate at these stakes with this rake?

2. At what point is the rake so high that even solid pros can't beat the game?

3. How should one adjust his or her strategy to minimize the damage of the rake? Sean Lefort has a video addressing this issue, but it's geared toward online play and I'm curious to hear from live players.

As I mentioned above, I'm a recreational player. Poker is just a hobby of mine and I by no means expect to make a living playing $1/$2. This being said, I really enjoy thinking about the game and I obviously prefer winning money to losing it. I feel like it's hard to get an idea of how well I'm doing without a frame of reference!
