It's time to turn my life around!
Hi guys. I'm Kris, 23 years old from Bulgaria. I started playing poker 5 years ago. When I graduated I decided to turn pro, but I was still very young and I don't think I was ready mentally to do it at the time so I quit after a year. Since then I was working, traveling the world and finding myself basically. I went to California, Holland, England and a lot of things happend to me. The most important thing during this period was that I changed as a person quite a lot. After all those years I came to the conclusion that If you want to succed in life, you should work for profit and not for salary. And this maybe is the main reason why I end up back on the tables. Don't get me wrong. I love poker. I enjoy playing a lot and the money are not the only reason why I am doing this. I wanted freedom. I wanted to be independant and free.
So I quit my job, I went back to my country and decided that this time there is no going back and I will succeed no matter what. I moved in my own apartment and It was time for total dedication. I am ready do do what ever I need in order to improve my game and achieve my goals.
I started on the 15th last month with deposit of 1000$ at 25NL. Since than I moved up to 50NL where I am playing at the moment. I did one shot at 100NL but it was not successfull and I will do it again when I have 30 BI for the limit. At this point I am aiming for at least 80k hands a month playing on 5/6 tables.
I will do frequent updates on my progress in this blog because I think that it's a good way to be more disciplined and at the same time I think that the support and comments you get from the comunity are very important.
My plan is to build a bankroll without doing any withdraws until the beginning of next year. I will try to go up, as far as I can until then. All the rake back and bonuses are going str8 to my bankroll.
I started with 1000$. My goal at this point is 10 000$. The sooner I reach it, the better. I will make small steps. I don't want to make goals like " I will make 1 000 000$ in the next 2 years " or something like that. I will reach my first goal and we'll go from there. At the moment I just want to improve my game and just be the best version of myself both, on the tables and in my life.
Here is my result after month one ( 16 days of playing because I started in the middle of the month )
Not as much volume as I wanted but I was happy. Moved up to 50NL.
Bankroll: Winnings ( 785$ + some not calculated by HM ), Bonus ( 250$ ), = 2390$ / 10 000$
Hands played - 27 000 Hours played - 98 Hours a day - 6h Win rate per h - 12$/h
This month has been bad. I started very good but since than I am down 14 bi. The variance is crushing me at the moment. I took 2 days off and I will continue tomorrow. Today I am making my HUD easier to work with and I will chack my stats in depth. I will do some hand review as well, but for the most part I will stay away from poker and start fresh tomorrow.
My goal is at least 2500 hands per day until the end of the month. Let's see. See ya soon guys.
