I wasn't saint, but was I "that" unfair?

Just returned from live cash game where I was playing something I rarely play - No limit Holdem - 8 players..

Blinds were $1 $1 and I was dealt Ks3s in BB, UTG reraised to 6 BB, I called..

Super easy fold vs that bet vs normal UTG player, but this one.... !? // btw "normal" opening bet from MP was 4-5 BB as it's 1 1...

He was bluffing almost every hand, playing every hand, showing his winning/bluffing hands every time, he was dealt until that moment 3x KK, and he limped once kings I remember.... He hit his set 3 times I think... How long can he run that super-hot...? We were playing like 2h....

On my right there were sitting couple: he at BN, she at CO and in SB there was some spewy old man who was recreational player... Better than me as I arrived in casino after 2 years...

So - I called as only one and UTG did not hear that I called and showed his KTo....

Dealer was puzzled.... Seemed to me that he did not know how to proceed now, I did not know the rules, and the "girlfriend" from CO said to UTG:

"You must play hand face up (as you already reveraled your hand) and you may just potentially call to opponents bets, you must not reraise or bet"

Board ran:

AK883r

Then on river I was thinking like 20 sec and then "boyfriend" from BN called  TIME...!?

I overbet to 40BB and UTG folded....

I won 12BB pot, and was not "the most fair play player in the world"...

Then "boyfriend" could not stop talking....

He said that I was not playing fair, that I should have checked through entire hand etc etc....

"It would be split anyway"  - he added....

Btw, I did not mention that his girlfriend was not supposed to tell the rules, but instead could have let the dealer or floor tell the rules to players if situation like this comes up....

I just told him that it's not fair telling other players they are not fair and that I would never call time in his shoes, but he can do what ever he wants ofc...

He was not in the hand btw, same as his girlfriend...

I was VERY unconfortable, feeling unpleasant....

I won hand and UTG showed me thumbs up and he was laughing... He was ok with my move...

Did I show in this hand bad etiquete?

What if I had AT for instance or AA and reraised and he showed his cards?

Will this hand learn him to be more careful in the future?

Do I need to check through hand like this one in the future?

Thanks
