I signed up to RIO last Friday, watched a couple videos on Monday and WON Big$22 Wednesday!

Hi

As the title says I signed up to RIO last Friday, watched a couple videos on Monday and WON Big$22 Wednesday!

Hooray

MTT training is not really why I joined though.
My situation is I feel I'm an ok MTT player but I currently just turn on the laptop/PC when I have a bit of time, which is not as often as I would like with 3&1 year olds, and just play whatever is going. Preparation, bankroll management etc just goes out the window which I feel does a disservice to how well I can actually play.

A new way of working required
I joined RIO with the intention of learning how to be more professional hoping that leads to being a professional. The two videos I watched were on that subject so instead of registering the Hot $109 I late regged the Big $22, as the tourney went on I repeated some of the lines I'd noted to myself from the videos, especially during the final table where I've been making a real mess of things lately, and took it down.
A decent start I would say.

However
I am hopeless at cash games but with my time restrictions I feel it would be better to learn to focus on them and play MTTs on Sundays and during festivals.
Are there some "must see" cash game videos people would recommend to go to first? Will probably look to be starting at maybe .10/.25 level if that makes a difference to suggestions. As I improve I hope to get coaching (any coaches reading this?) as this has helped enormously with my MTT game but I'll take one step at a time for now.

Finally
Thank you to Mr Galfond and everyone involved with site. I'm excited to be here and even if I don't win another penny last night's win pays for over six years subscription so I'll be around for a while

Cheers
Sinex

Congrats! I'll let others suggest videos, but I want to mention that you should take it slow and continue to play well bankrolled (don't move up right away after one win), and not branch out too much.

I would suggest focusing on improving only one game at a time (cash or MTT). I'd love to think that 2 RIO videos turned you into an MTT crusher, but in reality there is a lot of luck involved in a big score no matter how well you play, and improving is a long slow journey.

Keep learning and don't move too fast! I hope we see you around here for a long time!

Favourite line so far "Don't play the NY Jets hands. Yes you might fluke a win but are probably going to get crushed more often"
