How to check results less?
Hey,
I used to look at results multiple times per session but realized that it's hugely negative EV as I may play very different based on the results. So recently I've been trying to look less often at results. Right now I'm just looking at them once per day at the end of my final session for the day. But I was wondering if any people checked even less (say once per week, or once per month and how that affects them) and if so, how do they still manage to go through their hands and analyze their database without looking at results (since results are right in front of you if you are looking through your database...).

keep trying...
I really want to check results once a week...but i always cant follow the rule.
I know some pros they check results once a month.
When I don't check results I basically don't even know whether I'm up or down or at least without a clue as to how much. It means I can focus more on the actual gameplay, so I think trying to decrease how frequently you look at results helps. However it's hard to avoid seeing your results if you want to review hands in your database...
How do those pros who only check results once a month study their own hands?!
You could check how you are doing hour per bb wise and if you are reaching that goal. I am personally struggling to move over to just hour+quality off game goals and trying to ignore results alltogether as this is a part you cannot controll at all.
''Trying'' is to say the least. had recently quite a huge setback in this department as I got very frustrated after loosing a big pot right at the end off my session against a fish...
I can honestly say that I am a live player that actually checks his results once a month to se where I stand. Sometimes you get quite suprised at the end result( usually in the positive) way :). Sure you have a bigger picture feeling but the fact you dont know is helpful as this elimantes second guessing so you discuss more off how well you played isntead off lost/won.
Close the graph tab from HM2.
Hide any bb/100, evbb/100,Net won etc stats from the results tab.
Set yourself process oriented goals.
Had the same problem. I checked my results every 5 minutes.
But after playing more and more I suddenly stop refreshing my Graph.
These days, I take a look at my graph filterd by today after playin my session. at the end of the Month i look my results for the complete Month and my overall results
This is something I've wanted to work on too, but the only issue I've had is how to not check results and also incorporate a stop loss? Multitabling with auto top up on cash tables makes it quite tricky to track at times, I worry I'm going to be like 20BI down and not realise
20 BI swings sounds pretty random. depending on which games u r playing.
I always play 4 reg tables plo 2 tables plo zoom and mix some 6max sngs in my schedule.
So i dont have any time to check it when im playing.
Dont know how to fix this problem without my regular grind.
That is a hard one as I struggle with it quite often myself. I think start out with checking results after you finish your sessions and not during.
