help crushing fish at live PLO game

I've recently started playing a 5-10 PLO game at a nearby casino. The players are terrible, half of them have just learned the rules of the game and the other half are almost as bad. Haven't played with this level of fish online in a long long time. Stacks are usually short between 40-60 blinds. Would appreciate any advice for crushing this type of game. I've done very well, but sometimes I just have no idea what the other players are thinking when they make really terrible plays pre and post flop and this I have to admit has confused me a bit. I feel I could be crushing the game more with a few changes. Would appreciate any tips on preflop play, 3 betting range and flatting range especially. Tons of hands go multiway as no one fold pre and post flop, they tend to overvalue non nut hands a ton. doesn't have to be specific things, could just be general tips on how to handle fish

Here's the recipe:

1) Play nutty hands

2) Make the nuts

3) Value bet

;-) (the difficult part is #2)

You may want to be aware of stack sizes. When players are short it makes sense to make preflop raises and 3-bets smaller. It also makes sense to 3-bet a bit less. Keep the SPR high and play pots in position. When you have a hand with strong hot&cold equity you'll obviously want to 3-bet larger ;-)

thanks for responding.....been doing most of that stuff, but helps to reinforce my initial thoughts....any advice on playing NLHE with these same guys...very loose....complete disregard for SPR...usually between 5 and 7x pre....usually between 40 and 80 bb's deep

Well, if they are 7x-ing it preflop, then the good old limp-reraise trick might work well ;-)

Sorry about the simplistic response above though. I don't know if there's any magic trick to it other than being patient, wait for hands, and value bet when you have it. It's so easy to lose a lot when you try to be fancy. Very often, they just don't understand what you're repping, so fancy bluffs are just totally lost on them. They probably don't even know they are making stupid plays.

I just got back from a game with these guys, we were playing NLHE around $15-$15 blinds and just wanted to get your opinion on a couple of huge pots I was in (lost all 3).

1. I call with utg+1 with AKhh after utg 8x's, this guy is really tight, (i'm around 150 bbs deep), get 4 callers...flop TJ4ssh...it goes check and hijack bets 8bb, everyone folds I call, turn dream Qh, I have nuts, and check raise his 8bb bet to 19bb, river Tc, I check call 20bb he turns over JT for a rivered full house.

2. I call 4x utg+1 with QQ, after same guy to my right opens, hijack 3bets to 10bb's, cutoff and button and utg call, this guy hasn't 3bet all night, I call, flop j24, every one checks, turn 2, checks to cutoff who bets 24bbs, I shove for 75bss he calls with JJ...

3. I limp utg with AK goes call call call, SB raises to 4x, I 3bet to 17x, only SB calls, flop 347hh, he checks I bet 25bbs he shoves for rest of my stack which is around 30x, I call, he has AThh and turns the nuts.

I was crushing the game and then got these 3 hands over a 45 minute period, just wondering what you guys think.
