From The Ground Up: PLO
We’re excited to announce the release of our From the Ground Up: PLO course. The course is the third in our From the Ground Up series and seeks to provide a structured environment for the full gamut of PLO players to learn the foundations of the game and the skills required to get to start demonstrating a consistent profit at the tables. The 54 videos touch on every aspect of the game beginning with the soft skills like bankroll management, understanding variance, game selection, rake environment, and software use before tackling the nuts and bolts of the game like preflop range construction, positional awareness, range vs range analysis, 3bet pots, deep-stack play, and much more. Throughout the course the theme of GTO vs exploitative play is explored with concepts first discussed in the abstract and then exploitative adjustments based on population tendencies from Thomas’ extensive experience at the tables suggested each step of the way. The mix of theory presentations, hand history review, solver (Monker + Vision) work, and live play make for an all-encompassing and comprehensive guide to learning PLO and taking your game to the next level.

Exciting!
Maybe I should start learning PLO... .
Looks very detailed from the video titles and descriptions.
Hey Emty.. I want to compliment you on the course. I don’t know how many forums I have read about Microstakes PLO and keep hearing the correct play according to Monker is. But not once did I see anyone mention how often the opponent folded to C bets, went to showdown, etc.
GTO is definitely a must to know, but there is more that needs to be taken into account. I feel your course does an excellent job of explaining what the GTO play is and when and why you should deviate from that play.
Anyways, thanks for the course! There is a lot of content and I am sure my game will improve because of it.. Hopefully in a few months I can post my results and they are good.
Is there any forum support for this course? (If have follow up q's would like answering.)
NB i havent purchased yet but am considering.
I am sure this is going to be a great series! This might be the right time for me to make a jump over to the “Great Game of Pot Limit Omaha!”
