From the bottom

I've only been playing poker for a matter of months. I made my first deposit at the start of the summer and as with everything else I thought I was smart enough to figure it out myself through trial and error. So it was no surprise that - with the help of some horrible bankroll management - I busted my account shortly after, having learned nothing. It was a very humbling experience.

After taking a little time to cool off I decided to deposit again and I've been playing 2NL exclusively since then so that I can focus on studying the fundamentals instead of worrying about my bankroll.

It's going to be a long road so I've been taking it slow and I've noticed that I'm already cutting down on a lot of common mistakes I used to make. The only problem is I'm still a little results oriented so I'm not always confident in being aggressive unless I'm absolutely sure I have the nuts. That's the first thing I want to change because it's going to hold me back. So my goals for the rest of the year are to:

-Become less results oriented
-Become a fundamentally solid player by learning a concept every few weeks and putting it into practice
-Start making a steady profit at the micros

Hope to share my experiences and some interesting hands soon.
