FlopZilla... how many people here use it?
I recently purchased Flopzilla.... and was curious if other members on here use this tool. Been playing around with it lately... but not doing too much detailed analysis yet. Anyone else here use this tool to help them with their gameplay?

Yeah, are you looking for some specific information?
Yes, I was wondering if there is any video series on Flopzilla and how to use it most effecitvely.
it was the first video I watched when I start using flopzilla

After from what I saw, the top video with flopzilla are from Matthew Janda
So is Flopzilla sort of an Equilab on steroids ( I really like that you can weight different part of ranges as that makes a big difference).....does Holdem Resources do any of the same stuff or is it primarily for flips?
Don't have any expierence with Equilab so can't comment. I highly recommend trying out the trial though. 7 days for free
Open flopzilla, then click on "Help" where you can find a written manual or a series of mini videos divided by topic!
The only thing you can't do with flopzilla is compare ranges...to do this you can obv use equilab or HoldEq (just an equity calculator) which I think it's a new tool and you can find it on Flopzilla near to the "Help" botton. It's free if you have bought flopzilla.
Do any of these programs offer anything that propokertools cant do? (Geniune question, Im not up to date on all the software these days. :) )
I don't know propokertools.
This is what you can do with Flopzilla:
- Calculate how a range hits an unknown flop (or a specific flop)
- Show the equity of a specific hand versus the range
- Show how a next turn or river card will affect the equities
- Show the overlap between different statistics
- Export savefiles in text format (for forums and e-mails)
- Apply weights to hands in the starting hand matrix
- Apply weights to the postflop filters
I use flopzilla all the time because it is a quick way to look at some spots that interest me. I also like the layout.
I doubt it does anything that propoker tools or CREV can do but for quick look at ranging it is much faster IMO
I just wrote a lengthy response in another thread regarding this topic. Some of you should check it out. Flopzilla is not an "Equilab on steroids" and it certainly does do things that none of the other software out there can do prior to entering in flop data. These are common misconceptions concerning how certain software in this industry is to be used.
