happens a few times a year until you die... we all know how you feel man, sucks

My problem is I've never had such gut wrenching downswings playing poker in 3 years.  So I've never had the feeling of losing 25+ BIs at such an accelerated pace.  This is all new to me and in a manner thats hardto describe.  Im obviously not quitting, Im just way too good to be losing like this, particularly against players who don't realize there are other players who also have 4 cards in their hand. 

im over 100k hands on low stakes Plo and im up 2 buy ins after being up 30 only a few days ago.  This makes no sense to me.  It all happens with in like 15 min of almost every session or near the end when Im about to quit.  i just lose, lose, lose, lose in spots where at worst I'm flipping.  I dont understand this. Even now, im down 300 again, all with in the last 20 min, after being up 120.  WTF is goin on.  I seriously think something is going on. I mean bad beat after bad beat, all conspicuously timed.  I got most of it recorded, this isnt just empty raving. Last time my All inEV was +6k and I was down 9k.  Now its pretty much the same.  Only the players suck so bad that its intolerable.  I dont understand how you can lose a3 weeks of winnings, over 30 BI, w?in 36 hours. Particularly against the softest competition around.  What are the odds behind that

40-50 buy-ins downswings aren't uncommon if you play a lot. 

You need to take a break. I know this isn't new advice, but it's for sure the best thing to do. I don't care who you are, if you're running bad and down a load of buy-ins, it's not just gonna affect your game to some degree, but also your enjoyment of the game, and poker is a game that first and foremost should be FUN.

Olive, 100% agree. My enjoyment has become torment.  I hate playing right now and have the feeling of ''Here we go again'' before I start every session.  With that said, here's how my quick session went this morning:

Tom, I agree with your statement about working very hard to improve on my game, which is what I constantly do. Again, these aren't tilt sessions or spots where I end up having to put my money in badly on constant mistakes made on my part.  Of course, I'll be the first to acknowledge I make errors which I constantly search for in my HH review & rewatching video session or in game, after the hand play out.  No.  These are soul crushing defeats. I feel like those guys who scream rigged.  I would be fully understandable, albeit unhappy, if players with advantages over me where taking my money.  When degenerates from Greece, Russia, and especially Brazil (no vulgarities to ppl from those nations, just poker talk) consistently win with under 20% eq, what the hell can you possibly do??  I put them in spots to feed me 150bbs on a 6h flush and they runner boat, runner runner straight, runner runner quads, runner runner against what ever hand I have just to make sure I lose.  its insane.  21 times I have lost All in pots (short stckers included as well as 100+bb) with over 88% eq HU, all this since Saturday.  WHAT?? Stop. How can I improve the control of the cards?  I know what I'm doing, as arrogant as it may sound, and am supremely confident over my skill set to low stakes player pool, be it regs or nuts.  This is just insane.  i wish I had the discipline to take a break, but Im not playing badly, tilting, or incorrectly.  What can i do?  Get drunk and go take shots at 5/10??
