Depositing for Canadians?
Hello, have any fellow Canadians had luck with any of the deposit methods for RIO? Let me know what worked for you. Our banks don't let us buy egaming on credit. I've got an email in to support, and ID Verification request in to TopMeUp for ecovoucher or Neosurf, but I will be super bummed if I can't beta test tomorrow. :)

OK, problem solved, but it did take about 25 hours. I'm leaving this thread here so that other Canadians can follow my breadcrumb trail. Basically, you have to use TopMeUp.ca (this is where the identification verification is required within 48 hours) to buy an ecovoucher (Funded from Interac, may also take up to one business day) to use on ecopayz for RIO. So, all in all, a Canadian can expect one to three business days to deposit and to use 5 financial services.
We have another session starting soon, hope you can deposit successfully! Tables will be open from 14:00 (1h 36 minutes from now) to 22:00 CET.

Doc Even faster for me: I funded a new EcoPayz account by going into a Canada Post outlet, simply bought a PaySafeCard -- almost instant, it is just a code like a gift card, no ID verification required. And PSC is also available at some gas stations etc. too.
I have no idea about withdrawing though -- will likely require SWIFT code to my bank although that might be "dangerous" with a Big Five bank so I hear -- that is if I end up not donating all of my $50CDN + the 30Euro bonus, Galfond-willing ;)
Hi there, I deposited twice using a Vanilla Master Card bought at Wal-Mart in Canadian dollars. Just fill out the deposit info, But change the Canadian $ to Euros.eg $200cdn is approx. 133.40euros. Make sure you subtract about 4 euros for the transaction fee, so you deposit 129 euros, double click the pay tab, hopefully it will work. I went with $128 and it worked. Good Luck

Thanks for sharing. Using vanilla in this way, did you sidestep ID verification? Or do you still need proof of address etc ?
Ya, have an account at RIO poker. Just type your name in where it says name on card, for the RIO deposit. No address needed for the card.
I was able to deposit using a President's Choice MasterCard. Don't seem to have received the bonus amount, though. Perhaps that will show up later.
Oh, one thing about this is that such a transaction is considered to be a cash withdrawal. So you probably want to go back a day or two later and pay it off on the card so you don't get hit with 20% interest. Pay off a few more bucks to make sure you're to negative balance status.
The deposit bonus is automatically credit. Your progress can be found in the settings menu.
I used Muchbetter to deposit a small amount due solely to the fact RIO had them as an option. Nothing but problems with them and I have essentially forfeited a small amount of money. This is one of the reasons I have stayed with Party and Pstars, who in over a decade I have never had a problem with processers.
