busted rookie question
became obsessed with poker about 4 months ago in December, when my ex bf taught me how to play in an amateur, fake money, heads up setting. was playing pretty well, fooling around online, and finally, I sat down at my first live game. after a few losing sessions, I found myself doing well again (breaking even and/or making small profits during each session) until one day, I had a terrible beat (straight flush to the nut flush), and played on tilt for the rest of the weekend. didn't realize till after the fact that I was still tilted from this hand, but, needless to say, I burned through my entire bankroll (2k). has anyone else burned through their bankroll? was anyone a losing player in the beginning? I know these are probably ridiculous questions but, I guess I'm seeking validation/solace/hope that it can and does get better.
taking a break from the live world for a while, till I have a starting bankroll saved up once more. sticking to online, and hopefully, I won't have to keep depositing money there.
if anyone has anything to offer, it would be much appreciated
