Board texture probability and softwear
Hello,
I Have CREV, Odds Oracle, Equity Labs. Is there a way using one of these programs to find the probability of a certain flop occurring?( or perhaps using a program i dont have) i.e if I want to know the chance of a Khi flop, or Qhi which is also 2 tone?

Odds Oracle can do that. Under "Questions" (below the range fields), set up:
How often --> the board --> matches range ---> [fill in your board type here]
The Odds Oracle syntax is powerful and you can specify any board type with it.
Zen, one thing I couldn't do on ppt is that, how often the board is A high. I just took the standard combinatorics line but can you do it through PPT ?
This should do it I guess?
How often --> the board --> matches range ---> A
And then add more specific requirements if we want it to be unpaired, monotone, twotone, rainbow, no straight possible, etc. It might get tedious, but afaik any range can be specified in OO syntax if you can think it.
I tested it yday and didn't work but using A** and then K[K-2][K-2] for the following got the result right :)
Thanks Zen, although im unsure where I am going wrong, it seams i need to input a hand to get it to run. I just input the syntax for monotone( in screen shot) but i try a bunch of other things, answer is all the same. am just trying to find the probability of certain flops. I cant show images as the i cant get the 'upload' function for screen shots to work.
You need to add hands if you have Equity stats among the questions (because equity queries run simulations on hands or ranges dealt to players). But clear Equity questions, and you will be able to run board simulations with no hands specified. And you can of course also add hands to see how known dealt cards (or ranges) affect probabilities of various boards being dealt.
Have you try with any equity calculator like APD to solve this problem? APD has helped me a lot to solve like this problem.
Use the FlopInspector * for this. Not only can you find the percentage of K hi flops, but also browse all the flops in different views, and filter for any thinkable texture. Also enter a holdem hand + a range to find how that skews the probabilites for the whole flop distribution. +Much more :)
