After rumors have spread over the last few weeks about Poker Stars being acquired by Amaya Gaming the transaction is finally official. Considering Amaya already has licenses in US regulated states this is huge news for American players longing to fire up some real money Stars action. When NJ denied Stars license it was on the bases of the Scheinberg's still being involved with the company while being wanted by the US government. With them out of the picture and Amaya already having a license in NJ there is nothing standing in the way from them entering the market after all is said and done. This was likely one of the only ways Stars was ever going to get back into the US market on a full scale. This is a giant step in the right direction for American online poker!
