$1000 roll whats the best game to win money with low varience...also tips for bankroll management :) need help
Hey guys i have a $1000 roll on stars. Ive played a lot of poker over the years but mostly spewing into a lot of different game types. But i want to increase this roll i have focusing on one game time and some mtts. Whats the lowest varience game i can play? sit and gos, mtts, cash and what stakes would be conservative to play at. Im not looking to run it up quick i want a steady progression. Thanks!

Do what inspires you and makes you want to study and play.
Objectively I think turbo HUSNGs is the lowest variance with highest hourly compared to required bankroll, but it doesn't matter if the game format isn't what you enjoy and have passion to improve and excel at. Many people consider it a close to dead format above small-mid stakes of 30$+ games...
MTTs requires bigger bankroll and is a lot higher variance but there is much more higher stakes actions, so the opposite of turbo HUSNGs.
Cash games falls more in the middle and the same for Hyper SNGs. Spin and go games are also a profitable format but has considerable variance and you need to overcome both rake and money going to jackpots/high multipliers to actually make money in the shorter term.
Thanks for the response! Definitely thought about grinding HUSNGs..im curious though what level would be suitable for my roll. 15$s?
I like mtts in the sense that its an exciting thing to final table a big tournament so definitely gonnna always play 10-15 a day but as you said the variance is really high.
Ive never been strictly a cash game player more on mtts but dabble in the zoom omaha games. i like spin and gos as well.
Anyways i think ill give HUSNG's a shot and see how it goes.
You're only "rolled" for the stake you can beat... start at the bottom and beat every single stake from 1,5$ or 3,5$ if you don't have prior HU experience. It doesn't have to be too many games at each level if you work hard, but 15$ turbo regs will sit if they think they have a decent edge and you need to be somewhat competitive to make money there. That being said the regs at that level doesn't really improve much and games are still fairly soft. At least that's what I've done in the past and seen.
You play PLO? If you do, choose some other site and start from PLO10. Those games are super soft.
what sites do you recommend?
At the moment it seems that MGN is the best choice for low stake players. Obviously there`s hope that soon RIO Poker comes out with something even better.
