My main thoughts preflop are:

Hand strength in relation to position.

If opening : How active are the players and what are their 3 bet %'s.

If facing a raise, How active are they; how wide is their hand range likely to be; what is their fold to 3 bet %.

Some of this thinking is dependent on effective stack sizes are the likelihood of the bet getting through.

Can you give me feedback whether I have any flawed thinking and how I can improve please.

Post | eduardoamigo posted in MTT: Should I barrel river?
These are the sort of spots that is definately a leak for me. I was trying to put this person on a reasonable range by the river that included Jx, pairs below J that if they called the flop & turn are probably calling the river and sets. I thought most overcards are folding to a double barrel although maybe my bet sizing should be a bit bigger. Advice please.
