Hand History | Riveringthat 2outer posted in NLHE: Flop 3bet sizing 100bb deep
SB: $45.92
BB: $54.03
HJ: $16.08 (Hero)
CO: $46.85
BN: $16
Villain is a 23/15 9.3% 3bet and 20% fold to 3bet over 1.2k hands.
Preflop ($0.24) (5 Players)
Hero was dealt A A
Hero raises to $0.48, CO calls $0.48, BN folds, SB folds, BB folds
Flop ($1.20) 2 T 9 (2 Players)
Hero bets $0.88, CO raises to $2.88, Hero raises to $7.04, CO calls $4.16
I think 3betting is right here the villain has 53% fold to cbet 39% raise cbet IP and 26% OOP so I'm ahead of their range and they're definetly capable of raising with draws and there are a lot of ugly cards that could come so I'd like to get more money in now.

What I'm not sure about is the sizing I think I have too much to jam so I'm not sure how big I should bet. I tried to go for a sizing that I thought was the biggest I could make it while not pot committing myself but I don't know if that's right or not.
Turn ($16.16) 2 T 9 9 (2 Players)
Hero bets $8.52, and is all in, CO folds
Final Pot
Hero wins $14.78

Ok thanks. If it's ok to set mine with this hand what is the worst hand we can setmine with if we're expecting at least 1 or 2 more calls behind? KK with 2 danglers? QQ? JJ?

CO: SyfeR0: $10.49
BN: elpelon1984: $10.51
SB: pilres: $29.74
BB: renet_de: $9.69
HJ: qu1sk: $9.95
Villain is 25/16
Preflop ($0.15) (5 Players)
SyfeR0 was dealt 5 K T K
qu1sk raises to $0.30, SyfeR0 calls $0.30, elpelon1984 folds, pilres calls $0.25, renet_de folds
In retrospect I think this call is way too loose, there were loose players in the blinds that I thought would come along but without any draws I think set mining here is probably bad.
Flop ($1.00) K 8 6 (3 Players)
pilres checks, qu1sk bets $0.20, SyfeR0 raises to $1.50, pilres folds, qu1sk calls $1.30
I raise with the nuts I don't think anything is wrong here.
Turn ($4.00) K 8 6 5 (2 Players)
qu1sk bets $3.83
Then I get donked into. The only hands I can really beat are draws & pair+draws, but I've got blockers with the Ks and unless they've turned a draw why wouldn't they 3bet the flop if they're going to donk the turn.

It seems like there are just so few hands I beat, assuming the villain would even play a hand that wasn't a straight like this.

Thanks guys, the idea of being super cautious without nutted hands or strong draws to nutted hands is definetly something that I need to get used to fast.
