Hey guys this is my first post. I have been a member for a couple of months but been too shy to post anything so here it goes:
I was reading through MoP and the formula for EV confused me. I have always used:(1) (P(win)(pot))-(P(lose)(bet)). But on page 50 he uses:
(2) (P(win)(new pot size))-(cost of call) so my question is where does that 2nd equation come from? Also, with regards to the first equation what if when running a sim you find there is a chance of a draw would equation (1) be (P(win)(pot))+(P(draw)(1/2pot))-(P(lose)(bet))?
Thanks in advance for any help
