I am probably your average aspiring micro stakes player. I have several poker books that I have lazily attempted to study several times and have picked up a lot here and there but am still nowhere near where I should be. I have the Harrington 3 volumes on tourneys. Ed millers small stakes limit and 1-2nl books. Supersystem 2. PLO by jeff hawng. Read em and reap. and skalansky nlhe theory.

When I start to read them one problem is how much they contradict, and I also wonder how much value the Harrington book has at a modern live deepstack mtt. And is skalansky's theories still worth reading?

Can anybody give me a good solid reading list of books that really opened their eyes and helped them win, and their view of the books I already have.

Thank you for the input I did not expect a pros point of view I'm  glad you responded. In your  second paragraph it seems like you missed the nut flush outs, would those extra outs have changed your play?

Just deposited $30 on Bovada been playing full ring .02-.05 with $2 buy ins just over $40 now and will go to $3 buy in at 60 after 100 will just buy in full and move up when I have 20 buy in.

I am a slightly losing player at 1-3 live, and shouldn't be as much as I have read, since everyone says it is soooo easy.

UTG open limps to .05 he has 4.90 and I have 4.04. No info I had just sit down and Bovada is anonymous. I call with K8s (clubs) because at these stakes it seems like I can call limps with speculative hands and still get calls on my big raises with real hands, and often limpers are not raised.

There are 2 more callers and bb checks. Flop comes  J clubs T diamonds A clubs. First limper checks I bet .32 only UTG calls. My thoughts behind the bet were I have 12 outs and a kinda scary board for some fold equity, and if I get two or more callers will have a big enough pot to get someone to stack off.

Turn is 4 hearts, he checks and I am lost as to what to do so I play safe and check.

River is K spades he checks and I decide this is a hand worse aren't calling and better aren't folding maybe a weak ace, but I check also.

Any thoughts are appreciated especially if you give me some insight as to how I should be thinking I was so lost on the turn. oh yeah he had Q9 spades and won.

Your format for the video really made it easy to take notes, was much easier for me to grasp the key points when they were written out for me vs. trying to catch them while explaining 6 tables worth of action. I think some instructors forget a lot of us come here because we are currently losing players.
