Dear RIO Community,
For the longest time I thought that with enough endurance and time I could push through the microstakes and become a 50NL / 100NL regular and who knows how far I can go.
It has become clear to me that I won't be able to get anywhere near my goal if I just try to improve on my own, and that I need either help or guidance of external people.
This is why I decided to start my poker journal, to at least force myself to document sessions and hands to get some outside perspective and to also keep myself motivated to keep pushing for improvements.
So a little bit about me:
I've been playing poker on and off for a couple of years now. I love strategy games and poker was a great combination of hobby's I have, mainly magic and psychology.
In this time I've logged around a million hands, playing on different sites and across different stakes (2NL - 25NL), with the bulk of my volume being played on PokerStars (600k)
I think one of the my stronger points as a player is my ability to be very disciplined when it comes to bankroll management and volume.
The determination to improve and ability to very critically analyze my plays also helps in my improvement as a player I feel.
However one of my biggest weak points is mental game.
I seem to struggle when moving up in stakes, due to money increasing and even though I'm always properly rolled / moving down when I need to, seeing bigger monetary swings is something I find tricky.
Another point I seem to struggle with is autopilot mode. There are sessions and days where I feel that most of my plays are standard spots and I just plow through them, without actually analyzing or thinking about them individually. I think this comes from my belief that, giving I'm a winning player at a certain stake, I just need volume to get to the next stake, so I turn into this robot spamming through spots.
Included in this post I'll add some graphs and stats and in the future I will update this thread with hands and spots I find difficult.
Also I want to encourage all possible study groups and coaching opportunities that may feel we can be of mutual benefit to each other to not hesitate and contact me, I'm always happy to listen and surround myself with people who are better than myself.
And with this commitment, my journey begins.

Cheers Resolve, your pokerjournal actually convinced me to start one myself.
Let's see if I can follow your path :)
