Would appreciate any insights you can share on this...
At 30,000 feet, most of my metrics are good and within appropriate ranges of winning players, but two jump out in particular.
First, it's worth mentioning that I'm working with Advanced Poker Training (is this its own issue?) and going from turn to river ahead in hands about 55% of the time (including outs)--about 10% higher than top players on APT, fwiw.
However, my win $ at showdown is only 47%--a full 10% lower than top players. Bloody eff.
Perhaps it's worth mentioning that my Aggression Factor is in the low part of appropriate player ranges, which I guess reflects Ed Miller's call-heavy advice and its impact on my game.
To the analytics, it can't be that I'm getting sucked out on this often given this sample size. And: "Raise more at the turn to push out the 40-49% equity hands" seems like a good first instinct. Calling too many rivers as well.
Any other insights I should be considering? Any hacks on changing mindsets on calling down rivers?
Much obliged. Genuinely.
