three kings

Poker Stars $0.10/$0.25 Pot Limit Omaha Hi - 6 players - http://www.handconverter.com/hands/3020564

MP: $44.14
CO: $14.94
BTN: $116.49
SB: $25.00
Hero (BB): $72.00
UTG: $49.06

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is BB with Kc Kh 5s 3h
UTG raises to $0.75, MP calls $0.75, 2 folds, SB calls $0.65, Hero calls $0.50

Here I elect to flat, which I think is the right decision. My hand is pretty strong and I am getting odds because I am the big blind. The UTG raiser is a 21/13 tight aggressive but MP is very loose, playing 88% of his 66 hands and SB also plays pretty loose (50% VPIP). It is tempting to raise and tax the loose players since there is a good chance they have weak hands but I would probably have to fold to a four bet and I am not really keen on building a big pot oop when I am almost 200 bb deep with two of the players.

Flop: ($3.00) Kd Jh Ad (4 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, UTG checks, MP checks

On the flop I have middle set and I check to the raiser. I guess my plan is to check call. Actually this situation is not so great, since I can only fill up right now with 6 cards and have 1 out to quads. Someone could have AA and then I would be drawing virtually dead. But I can beat a bluff or a draw and three kings could easily be the best hand. I could also bet and fold to a raise. This would get value from draws and I doubt very much I get raised frequently by hands other than QT.

According to poker tracker simulation I should have good equity a lot of the time in this situation.

board: KdJhAd
Hand Equity Wins Ties
KhKc5s3h 42.30% 253,509 560
15% 29.56% 166,327 22,524
10%-90% 11.98% 65,094 14,039
5%-50% 16.17% 87,425 19,689

Anyway it checks around.

Turn: ($3.00) 2h (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $1.50, UTG folds, MP folds, SB raises to $7.37, Hero calls $5.87

On the turn I am thinking since everyone is checking that I have the best hand. So I bet half pot. I also pick up hearts. Then I get check raised so I put my opponent on QT, but against QT I would have around 40-45% equity anyway. So getting 2:1 and being able to play the river in position I think this is a very profitable call. My outs are non nut so I may from time to time end up losing money on the river.

River: ($17.74) 7d (2 players)
SB bets $8.50, Hero folds

Going with my read that my opponent has QT I fold the river.
