PLO: Variance and the validity of "all- in EV"
Hi guys,
I recently ugraded my HM2 to the PLO license to figure out my actual winnings in said game. Turned out that, over the last 60k hands i made a net profit of roughly 40BI, while, which was shocking to me, had a All-In EV of -15 BI.
So I technically I ran 55 BI over EV, is this a legitimate number?
Furthermore, I can explain some of this by some weird play by my opponents, where they call off 80% of their total stack OTT or OTF, with a hand that is a dog EQ wise, only to river the nuts, and with an SPR of less than 1/10 sometimes, I just put in the rest when I think my hand is still best often enough relative to the pot odds.
This happens a lot, but is it enough of an explanation for why my EV graph deviates that much?
Thanks,
Disharmonist
