I don't usually play run downs with big gaps near the top and I know this sounds goofy but I've been hitting so many flushes today that I want to play my suited A. If I don't hit I will just fold flop

Even though he checked the turn I can't say he doesn't have an 8 and perhaps the Q did fill him up but if he doesn't have it my str8t is still good so I think BF is better than CF or CC. I think this is where I played it badly. So I bet and when he raised there is so much money in the pot that I call in case there is any chance I am good. I think this is a bad move at least 70% of the time with an open pair on board. Fish fight?
