New year, new game
my name is José, im from Portugal. I joined RIO a little while ago and so far i really enjoyed most of the videos from here, live sessions in particularly. I had to stop playing for a little while and to withdraw some of my poker money to pay some bills i had, leaving me with around 400USD. I allways enjoyed PLO alot and i'd really like to grind the ladder playing it and if i'm able to reach PLO100 or something like that. I have a background of NLH until nL25 and played a little bit of PLO10 so i do have some familliarities for the game and it's by far what i enjoy the most playing.
I have some questions that i hope you can help me with since I am deeply determined to make a run for my goal:
What stakes should i play? I'm trying to start like i was a beginner, reading strategy about preflop, watching movies and grind the limit until i can beat it.
Any known strategy sites or ebooks that you advice? I've look at PLO the blueprint (i think that's the name) but never read it in detail and i kinda think it's too advanced for me. Also if there's some video or place explaining the stats for PLO would be super !
Is it possible to beat the micro stakes playing PLO without getting killed by rake and variance? Should i try to get a bigger bankroll first?
Also is zoom acceptable or should i start playing regular tables?
Any advice you can give me would be gold :)
