5/10 In BN holding bare OP + TP as TS blocker
Hi everybody, dont play these stakes, from time to time (when I win at 1 2 and 2 4) I know to take a shot with
(big) chunk I won. Just took 1K from winnings from yesterday and sat at 5 10.
Strategy was simple: wait for AA, KK or QQ that are "not that bad" and put pressure vs player that has some draw (non made hand) ONE on ONE IN Position (!).
I know this is not Holdem, but that was my game plan ( though it could have been wrong).
And I was dealt "the worst" hand I decided to push with and that was QQT8 single suited in spades (Q hi potential FD). I was in BN.
Hero raised to $20, SB (1K stack) called $20 and now aggro not-so-"good"-player I was just recently playing at 2 4, raised to $90 (cca $600 stack). I started with +100$ win so I said: OK - if comes bad flop, nothing happened...
FLOP ($270): Th5s3h
Now interesting part comes....
SB leads with $250 and BB folds (which surprised me even though I thought he was bad). It's my turn. My reasoning was next:
(1) SB does not have AA, nor KK nor TT (preflop play + my blocker T)
(2) He most likely does not have 55 nor 33 ( probability is small + those hands are fold preflop in SB, particularly after BB 3-bet)
(3) He was leading like "If they call/raise me - OK, If they fold - even better".
(4) I put him to ABhh with nothing else (maybe some gutter e.g. AJ49hh type hand)
(5) Fact that BB folded was good sign for me cause he might have AKJB hand which also probably reduces number of outs for my opponent (not irrelevant)
I decided to jam...... Additionally I had Queen of hearts which is 1 out less for my opponent.
Was this right decision in your opinion? Was I too weak for such move?
Thanks a lot and sorry for posting this as a post.
Regards
