So we all know hu and 6max are better, but occasionaly there is are some good mid/highstakes full ring games and its good to be prepared. Just wondering how people play the early positions as its something iv thought about, given how frequently (i believe its around 25% of the time) someone has aaxx at the table. Do we need to adjust our ep strategy and have a limping range. Personally i think that vs weak players just playing a mixed strategy of some limp calling, some limp raising and some open raising seems best. But vs stronger players might this strategy lead to us clearly not having the right blend of hands on certain board textures and give away too much information. For example hands like avd suited or ds QQxx and JJxx seem ideal candidates for a limp calling range, but if opponents become aware and we cant have sets/boats on certain boards it makes us easy to play against.
If we are going to go for one or the other which seems best, raising our whole range (if so what size) or limping our whole range.
