First time posters.... OPP call or fold..confused

HJ (villain) is playing a 30./ 25 / 12 after 120 hands... only read is he is pretty agro when he is in a hand..doesn't like to give up..

Preflop ($1.50) (5 Players)

Hero was dealt J K T T
HJ raises to $3.50, CO folds, BN calls $3.50, Hero calls $3, BB folds

Flop ($11.50) 5 K 5 (3 Players)

Hero checks, HJ bets $8.62, BN folds, Hero folds

Final Pot

HJ wins $10.93

Only been playing PLO for a couple months now...trying to learn the game from watching the vid's here and reading some

Confused when I should call OPP and when I should raise/squeeze when OPP???

This is a perfect hand of that problem.

Since I did call,, was that right?? or would a squeeze been better?

and should I have bet out on the flop? or was it best to check/give up?
