A short handed spot against a loose/bad player. Help?
I'm curious whether leading this turn after opponent checks is better option than checking back...
Limped pot and I'm on the button holding j774 no suits.
Flop comes out K 7 6 rainbow. (one heart)
Loose bad villain leads at pot for 3 dollars. I pot to 12. He calls leaving himself with 80.
Now the turn is where it gets interesting. 3 of hearts. He checks, and I decide to bet pot, 27. He goes all in for 52 more and I call. DO you prefer leading out since he checks and we like to get value from 66xx or a hand like ak89 hearts? Or do you prefer to check back for pot control (in case he made a low wrap) and check call most river bets?
It seems to me leading turn when he checks is better than checking back...thoughts?
