LAG players opens and I have a very weak hand but I'm experimenting with BB defence after watching Janne's vid

I don't have much but a gutshot to a non nut str8t. This is where I really should lead out though because this is the type of flop that could hit my hand hard (guess I missed the whole point of the vid). Maybe I would have felt more confident if the pf raiser had potted it from utg. MP's range should be much wider. I decide to see the turn though.

I improve to 2 pair and I think that in his shoes the board looks pretty scary unless he has a club draw. I think his c bet was sort of random and possibly an overpair. I decide to represent the straight and pot it. He snap calls

I fill up on the river. It's not the nut boat but unless he was betting top set it should be good. He was slow playing 9957hhdd for the non nut straight and an overpair. Not sure if he was trapping or defending against the nut straight on a dry board. Judging by his river raise he was trapping. Was my call down terrible? The flop call was optimistic but I thought he probably had a high card hand
