500nl Turn bet on drawy board vs LP player?
SB: SB: $207
BB: Hero: $546
HJ: MP: $263.75
CO: CO: $550.50
MP folds, CO folds, BTN folds, SB checks, Hero raises to $15, SB calls $10
Hey guys,
I thought I would try some 500nl...I partition my bankroll to allow space for shots at higher stakes (200nl and 500nl) without risking my overall roll; if I spot a player I have already tagged as weak and can get position on him at the table then I'll try my luck with that partitioned roll. I also want to use the opportunities to enhance my PLO game and prepare myself for when I can move up properly (i.e. more than 1 table).
In this spot the villain is playing 44/17/5 over 500 hands.
The pre flop I think is pretty standard and I guess it wouldn't be too bad to check behind the flop...however against a 44/17/5 with 66% fold to c bet, I'm quite happy for him to fold out a lot of his random equity hands and take down the pot right there.
On the turn I didn't really know what to do, my decision to bet was to almost kinda slowdown any river action (or at least keep me in control) and also his stats for turn vs CB was fold 54%, raise 23% and call 23%. I'm pretty happy when people fold lol:) However the check-raise works really well with his stack size and I folded.
What are people's thoughts on the hand?
Thanks
Steve
