2 Theory Questions
1.100 bb effective, folds around to the sb who 3x's it and your in the bb with Ks3s9d5d - villan opens wider then average and has a fairly low 4b - should you 3b this hand or just call? I think we can agree if we were 200 bb eff its a 3b but at 100 I'm not sure if we should be lowering the SPR with a hand like this....On one hand lowering the SPR negates our position somewhat, but we can also make him make significant mistakes for his stack...Just wondering how you guys would construct an IP 3b range and the thought process behind it.
2.This ties into the first question but what is the optimal IP 3b sizing for 100bb? I'm thinking this ties directly to the VPIP of your specific player pool - at low stakes I would think you should have a larger 3b sizing since people have stronger ranges/lower VPIP thus your 3b range is likely to be strong, while at higher stakes we should go with a smaller sizing to push our positional edge with a weaker range...any logic to this?
looking forward to some feedback.
