How do yall decide on whether or not to be calling in these spots? without much information, I look for what I have readily available(villain took an aggressive line in earlier hand, is playing many hands, I'm getting laid a good price etc)

On the other side, it really looks like what we have, an A, and are random villains aware of that and/or trying to bluff top pair with half pot size bets?
